World Community Service Projects

A World Community Service project is born when Rotary clubs from two or more countries join together to accomplish a community service project. The WCS program links Rotary clubs needing extra help with clubs in other countries that are willing to provide funds, materials, and technical and professional assistance. District Grants

District Grants are a tool for our district to support humanitarian projects that benefit our communities or International projects. The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International returns 25% of our District's contributions for use within the District. The Grants Committee considers requests annually -- between November 1 and April 30.     APPLY.....

Early Act First Knight

EarlyAct FirstKnight is a revolutionary character and ethics program for K-8 school children that, for the first time, puts Rotary into mainstream public education.  EarlyAct FirstKnight is based on a concept conceived by Rotarians Chris Byrd and Randall Parr. Working together with Rotarians of District 5840, Knights of the Guild developed EAFK into an unprecedented character education program that would put Rotary into the daily academics of mainstream K-8 education for the first time ever.The future implications of this achievement for Rotary as the program spreads are groundbreaking..

The Four-Way Test

Did you know that Rotary’s Four-Way Test is one of the most powerful guides to ethical behavior in existence? It fits under the category of character literacy , giving clubs the opportunity to combine the message of the Four-Way Test with literacy projects in local and partnered international schools. Palmetto Rotary License Plates

The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles has produced a special Rotary “vanity plate”. We believe this project serves two very worthy causes. First, it puts the Emblem of Rotary International on license plates therefore giving it exposure. Second, it is a great way to raise needed funds for The Rotary Foundation and for District projects that help people right here in South Carolina. APPLY.....

 

Rotary Miles Donation

Rotary International is participating in the United Airlines Mileage Plus Charity Miles Program. This facility allows Rotarians as well as non-Rotarians to donate miles in 1,000-mile increments to benefit programs of The Rotary Foundation. MORE.....
